This is the step that surprises most people. Because the panels are flat and manageable, they move through standard backyard gates, along side yards, and into tight access areas that would stop a shipping container cold. No path widening. No fence removal. No access ramp construction.
Assembly is designed to be completed by a small crew – typically two to three people – using standard hand tools. No welding. No specialist tradespeople. No heavy machinery on-site. The system is engineered for straightforward, repeatable assembly with clear panel sequencing.
Once assembled, your unit is immediately operational. Secure the locking system, load your gear, and you’re done. There’s no cure time, no inspection period, no waiting for anything to dry or set.
If your needs change — you move homes, a project wraps up, a business relocates — your unit doesn’t stay behind. Disassembly follows the same process in reverse. Panels pack flat, transport easily, and reassemble at the next location. Most customers complete a full disassembly and reassembly in under two hours.

It depends on the size. Storage vaults 13 ft and smaller are under 120 sq ft, which falls within the building permit exemption used in Albuquerque and many New Mexico jurisdictions. The 19 ft vault, at roughly 143 sq ft, is over that threshold and will likely need a permit. The 16 ft sits right at the line. Setback, placement, and HOA rules apply no matter what size you buy. Requirements vary by municipality and by property, so check with your local building department before placing any structure. We are happy to talk through what we have seen locally, but confirming the rules for your property is the owner’s responsibility.
Any reasonably level surface works — concrete, pavers, compacted gravel, or level ground. The unit does not require a concrete slab or permanent foundation.
Assembly is designed for 2–3 people. One person can manage parts of it, but panel handling and alignment is significantly easier with a second set of hands. We recommend having at least two people available.
Two people assemble most vaults in 30 to 60 minutes on level ground. First-time assemblers usually take a little longer, and the second time is noticeably faster. If you would rather not do it yourself, our own crews install, and the installation price for every size is listed on the Pricing page.

Yes. The units are built from galvanized steel with a heavy-duty T-handle locking system. They are significantly more tamper-resistant than standard garden sheds and comparable in security to purpose-built on-site storage containers.
Not at the moment. We are focused on the vaults themselves, so we are not selling shelving, racks, or add-on accessories right now. The vault bolts together from standard steel panels, so shelving is straightforward to add later if we bring those back. Ask us what is available when you order.

Yes, in almost every case. Your vault arrives as flat steel panels, not as a finished box, so nothing has to be craned over your house or squeezed down a driveway. If you have a standard 24-inch gate, we can carry the panels into your backyard and build the vault where it is going to sit. If the carry is more than 50 feet or goes through a gate, there is a $250 long-carry fee.
In most cases yes, but check first. Albuquerque requires any wall within 5 feet of a property line to be fire-resistive, and structures cannot sit in the front setback. Your HOA may have its own rules. We will place your vault where you tell us to — confirming placement rules is the property owner’s responsibility.
Level enough is usually fine. If the ground is within about 8 inches of level, our crew can work with it. If it is worse than that, or rocky, we build a compacted gravel pad: $650 for 5, 7 and 10 ft vaults, $850 for 13 ft, $1,050 for 16 ft and $1,250 for 19 ft. Steeper or rockier sites we quote from photos before you commit to anything.
$250 anywhere within 25 miles of our Albuquerque showroom, and $480 to Santa Fe. Everywhere else in New Mexico is $4 per mile round trip with a $200 minimum. Unpaved or rough access adds $200. If several units go out on the same load, you pay one delivery fee. Every delivery price is on the Pricing page, and the quote builder will work out your exact cost.
Yes. Your vault is ready for pick-up 2 to 3 days after you order. Bring a flatbed or a trailer rated for the flat-packed weight — about 100 lbs per foot of length, so roughly 1,000 lbs for a 10 ft. Our crew loads it with a forklift. The loading fee is $75. Bring your own straps.
Our own crews deliver throughout New Mexico. For anywhere outside the state, call us at (505) 382-6964. The vault ships flat-packed, which makes freight practical, but we price those case by case rather than quoting a number we cannot stand behind.
Light gray, dark gray and cream. All three are powder coated inside and out, and there is no price difference between them. The 19 ft vault is cream only. We do not do custom colors.
